Cedar Lake, Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada
Summer, 2003

This picture was taken during a kayaking trip in the summer of
2003.  I was camping on an island by myself on Cedar Lake.
Previous to taking the shot, I had enjoyed floating in the warm
water for several hours.  After eating a yummy dinner on the
beach, my tripod was set in the water about 3 feet from shore,
and submerged half of my tripod.  While waiting for the sun to
set, some locals came by in a boat with a motor, and rippled the
surface of the water.  I enjoyed talking to them, but was glad
that they left in time for me to get a shot of calm water reflecting
the sunset.  I particularly like the detail in the rocks.
